5th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Gala
Women Called Moses Coalition & Outreach's Annual Fundraiser The Heels 2 Heal Gala will feature Grammy-nominated vocalist Michel’le. Michel’le’s story includes the darkness of domestic violence. In the 2016 Lifetime made for TV movie, “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge and Michel’le,” she narrated her own story. She will courageously share how her musical success was brought to a halt by years of substance abuse, financial struggles and physical assaults from the fathers of both of her children notably Dr. Dre of N.W.A. and Suge Knight formerly of Death Row Records. The proceeds from this event will directly benefit the fight against domestic abuse, family violence, and all forms of abuse against women and children.
Heels 2 Heal will take place on Sunday, October 22 at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. K104's DeDe McGuire will be the mistress of ceremonies. Special guests from DeDe's Morning Show, NFL, NBA, national and local government officials.

Women Called Moses Coalition & Outreach has been making an impact in the Dallas/Ft Worth community fighting domestic violence through advocacy and services since 2004. Proceeds from this year's gala will support WCM's 14 social service programs that address crisis counseling, emergency/transitional housing and court advocacy for families affected by domestic violence.
